MYCON General Contractors has begun renovation work on its new Dallas headquarters. The company bought the property at 17311 Dallas Pkwy. late last year and plans to move to the new space in the spring of 2017.

Built in 1979, the three-story, 46,071-square-foot office building sits on a 1.9-acre tract. MYCON, which currently is based in McKinney, will occupy the top floor and lease out the bottom two floors.

Charlie Myers, CEO, said the company is experiencing a growth spurt.

“The new office will not only accommodate our current needs, but also provide the foundation for continued growth,” he said. “We expect our headquarters location will help us attract and retain talent and be closer to our clients and projects in the greater Dallas area.”

O’Brien Architects is overseeing design of the renovation project. Construction is scheduled for completion in July 2017.
