Well, if you haven’t heard, Uptown Village at Cedar Hill now has a new name, Hillside Village. There has already been some changes taking place at this 615,000 square foot open air shopping center. Trademark Property Co has taken the helm as operating partner to improve the property with a multimillion dollar renovation plan.
The city of Cedar Hill has recently been plagued with a number of large retail box vacancies. Hopefully, the rebranding and renovation of Hillside Village will help generate activity in the region.
There has already been some momentum for Hillside Village with announcement of fashion retailer H&M, scheduled to open this October. H&M will be expanding the former Coldwater Creek store to approximately 21,000 square feet.
