• Jonathan Tobolowsky has joined E Smith Realty Partners as executive vice president of retail services. In his new role, he’ll provide tenant representation, sale, leasing, and advisory services to retail tenants, landlords, and property owners.

E Smith Realty Partners was formed last August by former Dallas Cowboys great Emmitt Smith, along with veteran Dallas real estate brokers Sharon Morrison and Brant Landry.

Tobolowsky’s addition helps broaden the firm’s offerings.

“The retail service line is very important to our leadership team,” Landry said. “Our Chairman, Emmitt Smith, began his real estate career in retail development.”

Tobolowsky previously was assistant vice president at The Weitzman Group. Prior to that, he was an associate at Collier’s International, where he founded the firm’s “New Generation” program and managed more than 60 brokers across the country.

• Dan Noble has stepped into his new role as president CEO of Dallas-based HKS Inc., one of the country’s largest architectural/engineering firms. He succeeds longtime chief H. Ralph Hawkins, who will continue to serve as chairman during the leadership transition.

Noble, who has more than 30 years of experience in the design industry, will direct the 28-office, 1,000-person firm’s administrative, financial, management and strategic planning services. Throughout his career, he has been responsible for more than 125 projects representing more than 30 million square feet, 10,000 beds, and more than $5 billion in construction costs. Clients have included MD Anderson Cancer Center, Hadassah Medical Center of Jerusalem, University of Miami, University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Sanford Health, RadioShack, Fina and JCPenney.

Noble joined HKS in 1983 as an intern and moved up the ranks. He was named principal and shareholder in 2001, and became part of the firm’s executive committee in 2009. For the past 13 years, he has served as the firm’s overall director of design.

HKS also promoted Jeff Stouffer to director of the firm’s healthcare practice. He succeeds Craig Beale, who will continue to serve on HKS’s executive committee and oversee its international healthcare practice.

In his new role, Stouffer will be responsible for directing group’s administrative, financial, management and strategic planning. He previously was practice leader for academic and pediatric health facilities, overseeing regional and national projects that total more than $10 billion in construction.

Stouffer joined HKS in 1985 as an intern architect. He was named principal and shareholder in 2001, and became part of the firm’s management council in 2009.
