In-stadium food delivery app company StadiumDrop received a $50,000 growth grant from McKinney Economic Development Corp. and has relocated its headquarters to McKinney at Serendipity Labs—a coworking space off of Highway 121.
The company launched in 2020 at Oklahoma State University and provides fans an app to order food and beverages from their seats. Runners then deliver food to the fans, ensuring spectators never miss a moment of the event.
“Partnerships like this are a big deal,” Adam McAbee, co-founder, and COO of StadiumDrop, said. ” [Our CEO] Kristen, the executive team, and I are all very excited to be in McKinney. This is a great city and has always been one of the nation’s leading cities in growth. Having offices here gives us strategic advantages in the region.”
StadiumDrop—which serves stadiums in Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, and Mississippi—plans to scale its employee count in the coming months.

Mark Cuban Becomes First Team Owner in Newly Formed VIBE Pickleball League
Pickleball has quickly become the fastest growing sport in America, and Mark Cuban has jumped on the trend, becoming the first team owner within VIBE Pickleball League, a recently formed pickle ball league.
“Just like millions of other Americans, I’ve been following pickleball over the past few years, and I couldn’t pass up the chance to invest in the fastest growing game in the country,” Cuban said in a statement. “VIBE presents an unparalleled opportunity to launch a new pro league that will feature the best-of-the-best in a highly competitive setting. I can’t wait to be a part of it.”
The new coed league is operated by the Professional Pickleball Association and will feature six teams. A draft will be held in December, ahead of the inaugural 2023 season.

Newly Founded Cardinal Midstream Acquires Medallion’s Natural Gas Business
Dallas-based Cardinal Midstream—which launched this year—will acquire Medallion Midstream Services’ natural gas gathering and processing business in the Delaware Basin in West Texas. The deal is expected to close in early 2023.
Medallion’s natural gas gatherings spans Reeves and Loving counties and includes approximately 80 miles of high- and low-pressure natural gas gathering pipelines. It also processes 140 million cubic feet per day of natural gas per day.
“This acquisition in the prolific Delaware Basin will serve as the cornerstone of Cardinal’s natural gas gathering and processing business strategy,” said Doug Dormer, Cardinal CEO. “The business is an ideal fit to leverage our team’s core competencies and industry relationships. We look forward to expanding the asset base and providing meaningful midstream solutions to serve area producers’ growth.”
Cardinal is led by four founders: Dormer, the CEO; CFO Douglas Gale; Chief Commercial Officer Justin Garrity; and COO Clayton Hewet. The leaders have a combined 80 years of energy expertise.
The AdvoCare Foundation Announces 2023 Grantee List
In 2023, The AdvoCare Foundation, which has gifted more than $1 million since its inception, will gift $330,000 to 14 nonprofits across the nation. North Texas recipients include United Way of Metropolitan Dallas, The Concilio, YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas, and the Boys & Girls Club of Collin County.
The grants will be specifically targeted to impact health, exercise, and nutrition for the children in each community.
“The foundation focuses in on several areas throughout the U.S. to fulfill our larger mission—helping children live happy and healthy lives,” said Whitney Strauss, executive director of the AdvoCare Foundation. “Because of our strategic giving, we’ve been able to see true, tangible results with specific outcomes in the families we’ve worked with through our grantee partners. We are proud to continue to be able to invest over many years with our partners to see lasting impact for these families.”
