PeopleFun Names First New CEO Since its Launch

Carol Miu, who most recently served as chief product and analytics officer for mobile gaming company PeopleFun, has been promoted to head the company. She succeeds its founder and longtime leader Tony Goodman, who launched the company in 2011 and successfully led it through its acquisition by AppLovin in 2018. Miu joined PeopleFun that year as its first employee on its product development team. Prior to PeopleFun, she was lead product manager at Culver City-based mobile gaming company Scopely for just over a year.

Educate Texas

Joe May, Chancellor in Residence

Joe May

Joe May previously served as chancellor for Dallas College for eight years, where he helped consolidate what was then seven campuses operating under Dallas Community College into a single institution. Now, as chancellor in residence for Educate Texas, an educational initiative from Communities Foundation of Texas, he will forge new relationships with stakeholders in higher education, bring forward new initiatives for leadership development and educational policy, and more. May will also support the initiative’s goal to add 85,000 new higher education degrees and certificates, primarily from underserved students, by 2025.

Thryv

Marie Caron, President of International Markets

In her role, Marie Caron will be responsible for managing SaaS company Thryv’s international expansion. Most recently, Caron served as senior vice president of global channel and alliances at Coveo, where she led the company’s alliance and channel strategy worldwide, including relationships with Adobe, SAP, Microsoft, and more. She also recruited and led more than 250 channel partners, including global firms.

Stacy Eley, President of Suite Management Franchising

Stacy Eley has been with Suite Management, a franchise brand under parent company Propelled Brands, for the past nine years, most recently serving as chief operating officer since February 2020. Now, she will be lead Suite Management’s two brands, My Salon Suite and Salon Plaza, focusing on increasing franchisee profitability, collaboration, training and more.

David Masters joined MAA as a principal and director of architecture in 1995. Now, he will take on more responsibility as vice president, one of a handful of promotions recently made across the company’s Dallas, Austin, and Charlotte offices. The firm is responsible for projects including master-planned developments, urban housing, office buildings, corporate facilities, hotels, schools, and retail projects throughout the United States and abroad.

Shawn Sinnie joins MAA following nearly 15 years with Plano-based Titus HVAC, where he held marketing specialist and marketing manager roles over the years. His new responsibilities include implementing new technologies and a new creative strategy to develop new and existing projects.

Jeff Raich, Regional Sales Manager, Wholesale Division

In his new role, Jeff Raich will focus on third-party originator lending, hiring account executives in broker, delegated correspondent, and non-delegated correspondent categories for a Mortgage Boutique, a division of First Community Mortgage. Prior to joining First Community, Raich was director of third-party originations at Swift Mortgage for just under a year. Prior to that, he was a regional sales manager of MGIC for more than 12 years.

Almond has more than 30 years of experience as a finance executive and 20 years as a CFO at Vertex, Cambium Learning, and more.
