As CEO, W. Joe DeMiero will lead strategy, direction, and operations for media company UM’s largest market, as well as overseeing management of clients, including USPS, E.J. Gallo, Rocket Mortgage and Zillow. DeMiero is founder of TiltShift, Publicis Groupe’s immersive reality arm, and CloudTix, the first software-as-a-service mobile ticketing platform. DeMiero also previously served as CEO of Publicis CRM agency, Hawkeye, where he worked with clients such as Google, AT&T, USAA, and Capital One. Though UM is based in New York, DeMiero will remain in Dallas.

Carrie Finney, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman

Carrie Finney has Finney has been with the CMI Group since 1998 as president and CFO, leading the company’s growth and expansion into markets including, government, toll authorities, telecommunication, utilities, healthcare, insurance, and financial services. Finney will keep her president title, but in her new role, she will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations and leading the company through additional growth.

Jamco Interests

Sherif Mityas, President

Private Equity company Jamco Interests has promoted Sherif Mityas to president of Brix Holdings, a collection of franchise brands for which Jamco is a majority stakeholder. This will be an addition to his role as operating partner. In his new role, Mityas will lead Brix Holdings’ brands, which include Smoothie Factory, Redbrick Pizza, and more. Prior Jamco, Mityas held various executive positions including chief experience officer for TGI Fridays and CEO for Hollywood Video/Movie Gallery.

CASPR Group

Jon Zucker, President

Prior to joining environmental health technology company CASPR, Jon Zucker founded and led the Dialectic Group, an independent digital agency. Now, Zucker will lead CASPR Group, an air purification company, as it tries to meet increased demand.

Brent Moore, Chief Operating Officer

Brent Moore was previously president of Canadian-based gas and electricity retailer Just Energy’s North American retail business and founder of Save On Energy, an online energy comparison marketplace. Moore created Save On Energy’s model and developed its brand in the newly deregulated retail energy industry, then sold it in 2012. Now, Moore will lead operations for ComparePower, a marketing and sales tool that allows consumers to compare energy prices.

She previously spent 10 years with Orica, a commercial explosives company in the mining industry, serving in a variety of roles. Hodde was also formerly cofounder, president and CEO of EarthRoamer, an Xpedition Vehicle manufacturer.

Howell spent the first 10 years of his career with Remington, rising from manager to general manager, before accepting various roles with Sonesta Hotels and Resorts, Aimbridge Hospitality, Widewaters Hotels, and more for the following 10 years.

As director of Government Affairs, Alex Weaver will manage relationships between distributors and local, state, and federal policymakers for Ben E. Keith Beverages, the third-lartgest beer distributor in the nation. Weaver will also oversee the company’s agenda by guiding its state and federal associations. She joined Ben E. Keith five years ago and previously spent five years in banking and investment roles at PlainsCapital Corp.
