Matt Scurlock, Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President
The parent company for Texas Capital Bank is promoting Matt Scurlock to chief financial officer; Scurlock previously served as executive vice president and corporate treasurer. As CFO, Scurlock will become a permanent member of the Bank’s Operating Committee and will be responsible for all accounting and financial reporting functions, as well as financial planning and analysis, capital planning, and funds management. Prior to joining Texas Capital Bancshares in 2013, Scurlock was a manager at Deloitte.

Beck Pryor, Chief Operating Officer
Financial startup has promoted former chief development officer Beck Pryor to COO. In her new role, Pryor will align operations, customer service, and business development to help the company expand. Before joining Meritize, she oversaw business development and operations for the Digital Insights business at global food corporation Cargill.

Kelly Birch, Vice President of Marketing and Analytics
Kelly Birch previously worked at Capital One, where she held several posts in product management and business development. In her new role, she will unify marketing with credit and analytics.

Courtney Ramirez, Vice President of Technology
Courtney Ramirez has led product management and strategy since joining the Meritize team in 2019. She will now oversee technical integrations and product design across Meritize’s suite of applications. She previously spent a decade in product management roles with K-12 education technology firm Study Island dba Edmentum.

John W. Watkins brings decades of experience in risk management, credit analysis, portfolio strategy. He was previously a senior risk management executive at Freddie Mac, JPMorgan Chase & Co., and Citigroup.

Carissa DeSantis, Chief Technology Officer
In her new role, Carissa DeSantis will oversee all enterprise-wide technology and digital efforts across Jamco’s brand concepts, including the Friendly’s and BRIX Brands portfolio (Red Mango, Orange Leaf, Souper Salad, Smoothie Factory, and Red Brick Pizza). She will also integrate new technologies and data analytics capabilities. Most recently, DeSantis served as chief information officer at Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants.

Jaime Jaramillo, Chief Information Officer
Jaime Jaramillo has worked for PepsiCo, Frito Lay, Borden Dairy, Belcorp, and Varsity Brands, holding international and domestic positions in technology and digital transformation. Now, he will oversee analytics by using new technology tools to discover data insights and trends to improve the overall production process at Service King.
Education: Jaramillo has an MBA from a school in Italy, an M.S. from a school in England, and a B.S. from a school in Mexico City.

Karen Goldstein, Partner
At Sidley, Karen Goldstein focuses her practice on finance transactions, including acquisition financing, asset-based and leveraged lending, investment-grade lending, mezzanine financing, and subordinated debt financing. She primarily represents private equity sponsors, corporate borrowers, and financial institutions. Prior to joining Sidley, Goldstein worked as a finance associate in New York.

Lauren G. Grau represents life science, telecommunications, information technology, software, media, and consumer products clients. She joined Sidley as an associate in 2008, and has worked her way to partner, where she will advise emerging and public companies, private equity firms and individuals on intellectual property issues surrounding mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and more.

Andy Hines, Partner
Andy Hines joined Big Four accounting firm Whitely Penn in 2010 as audit senior, working his way through management roles, before reaching partner at the firm’s Fort Worth office. He focuses on private clients in industries including, manufacturing and distribution, healthcare, oil and gas servicing, and nonprofits. Hines also leads the Audit Innovation and Technology initiative for Whitley Penn Audit.

Rogar Tovar recently joined Whitely Penn in 2021 and will serve as an audit partner in the firm’s Public Sector Group, beginning next year. Jyric Sims, Delegate
Medical City Plano and Frisco CEO Jyric Sims will serve a two-year term on the Regional Policy 7 Board for the American Hospital Association. Sims was promoted to his current role as lead of two Medical City hospitals in May. He previously served as CEO of Medical City Fort Worth for four years.
