Those featured in the 2022 edition of D CEO’s Dallas 500 publication got an early look at the book at a Nov. 18 release party. The special publication, which celebrates powerful and influential leaders in North Texas, is the culmination of six months of research by the editors of D CEO, who compile a list based on extensive contacts in local business circles and hundreds of interviews.

Held at Fair Park’s Hall of State in Dallas, the evening featured a strolling sleight-of-hand magician, live music from the Georgia Bridgewater Orchestra, a fireworks photo opp, and signature cocktails. Title sponsors were Maker’s Mark, Rogge Dunn Group, and Tri Global Energy.

Guests were greeted with opening remarks from Gillea Allison, president of D Magazine Partners and publisher of D CEO. Editor Christine Perez shared behind-the-scenes info on the publication before unveiling the magazine’s cover. “It’s because of all of you that Dallas-Fort Worth is such a vibrant business market—the best in the country!” she told honorees. “The Dallas 500 is our tribute to you and all that you do.”

Leaders featured on the cover were photographed individually and did not know who was joining them until the cover was revealed. They were Rebecca Acuña of PepsiCo, Nick Clark of Common Desk, Kenji Hashimoto of Amazon, Carolina Alvarez-Mathies of the Dallas Contemporary, Francois Reihani of La La Land Kind Cafe, Tré Black of On-Target Supplies & Logistics, and Christa Brown-Sanford of Baker Botts.

The 2022 edition of the Dallas 500 features 197 new faces and updated profiles of the 303 returnees. Combined, they represented more than 420 dynamic and growing North Texas companies and organizations.
