Business leaders and shareholders are looking to take meaningful steps to promote greater diversity within their corporate boards. As the pressure to diversify leadership continues to grow, opportunities to join boards have increased for professionals from nontraditional backgrounds and underrepresented groups.

These hot topics will be among those discussed at D CEO’s next event in its quarterly series on pressing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion matters in the workplace.

Business leaders will learn from some of the region’s top executives on how to be intentional in filling board vacancies to promote racial and gender equity—and diversity of all types— while those looking to get involved will learn practical steps they can take to bring their unique talents to the table.

The July 14 virtual event, held from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., will feature Margot Carter, president of Living Mountain Capital and co-founder of Cien; Susan Salka, CEO of AMN Healthcare; and Christa Sanford, partner at Baker Botts.
