A new mixed-use development in Plano has landed 70,000 square-feet of entertainment.

Fun Movie Grill has signed a lease in Mustang Square, a 36-acre mixed-use development underway on State Highway 121 and Rasor Boulevard. The theater, which is slated to be Fun Movie Grill’s flagship location, is expected to open in 2020.

Dan Avnery and Stewart Korte of NAI Robert Lynn’s Retail Division represented both the tenant and landlord in the lease.

“This is not your typical movie theater,” Avery said about the entertainment center that will host eight movie screens with dine-in services, bowling, virtual reality games, and party halls.

Mustang Square is underway on State Highway 121 and Rasor Boulevard.

Fun Movie Grill already has locations in Carrollton, Richardson, and Irving.

“We are excited to bring Fun Movie Grill’s unique combination of the best of Hollywood and Bollywood movies to Plano along with new entertainment options for families in our community,” said Thakkar Developers, CEO of Poorvesh Thakkar.

Poorvesh Thakkar broke ground on the first phase of Mustand Square in October 2019.

The 36-acre mixed-use property will offer 98 single-family homes, offices, retail, restaurants, and entertainment.

Space is available for restaurants and other retailers within walking distance of Fun Movie Grill.
