The Vandoliers

March 24, 7 p.m.| Magnolia Motor Lounge, Fort Worth

Fresh off an East Coast tour with fellow North Texan Joshua Ray Walker, the Vandoliers will hit the stage at the Magnolia Motor Lounge before heading on to the European leg of their tour in April. The country rock band may have gotten a bit of attention for donning dresses in Tennessee, but they say that the bigger message is that everyone is welcome at a Vandoliers show. The Band Laredo and Mason & the Gin Line will join them. Get tickets here

Paul Varghese

March 24, 7 p.m.| The Echo Lounge & Music Hall

Comedian Paul Varghese got his start in Dallas before opening for Jerry Seinfeld and appearing on the HBO Comedy Festival and NBC’s Last Comic Standing. (He even won Funniest Comic in Dallas more than a decade ago.) He’s back Friday for one night at The Echo Lounge. Get tickets here.

Mavis Staples

March 24, 8 p.m.| Granville Arts Center, Garland

Mavis Staples, of the famous gospel and soul act the Staple Singers, is both a Blues and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, a civil rights icon, a Grammy winner, and a Kennedy Center honoree. She’s seen more history than probably anyone else playing this weekend, and has sung with everyone from Prince to Arcade Fire. She’ll perform at the Granville Arts Center in Garland Friday night. Get tickets here.

Luke Combs

March 25, 5:45 p.m.| AT&T Stadium, Arlington

Luke Combs kicks off his Gettin’ Old tour in Arlington Saturday night in support of his album of the same name. (That album will be released on Friday.) Since his 2017 debut album This One’s For You, Combs has snagged two Grammy nominations, four Academy of Country Music Awards, and six Country Music Association Awards, including Entertainer of the Year in 2021 and 2022. Expect plenty of the hits from his catalog and new songs like “Growin’ Up and Gettin’ Old” and “Love You Anyway.”   Get tickets here.

Matt Hillyer

March 25, 8 p.m.| The Kessler

Former Eleven Hundred Springs frontman Matt Hillyer will celebrate the release of his third solo album, Glorieta, Saturday. A songwriting group he joined required him to write a new song each week, which formed the basis for his latest album, produced by The O’s John Pedigo. Expect a little rockabilly, a little country, a smidge of the Beatles, and plenty of brand-new music. For some pre-show fun, check out this video Hillyer did with his neighbor, Danny Hurley, during the pandemic—you might just see a few people you know. Get tickets here.

Stray Kids

March 26 and 27, 7:30 p.m.| Dickie’s Arena, Fort Worth

K-Pop stars Stray Kids are only bringing their Maniac tour to the U.S. for six shows in three locations, and one of those locations is Fort Worth, where they’ll perform Sunday and Monday nights. If you’re fans of the imminently danceable tracks from Bang Chan, Changbin, Felix, Han, Hyunjin, I.N., Lee Know, Seungmin, and Kim Woojin, get cracking—they only have two more U.S. shows after that, and they’re in Los Angeles. Get tickets here and here.
