March 17, 7:30 p.m.| Will Rogers Auditorium, Fort Worth

The singer-songwriter has made North Texas a regular stop since 2007. He recorded half of his second album, Something Like This, in Dallas. (Check out this profile in our sister publication, People Newspapers.) He’ll bring his Old Friends Acoustic Tour (and songs from 2022’s The Joy of Music,  to Fort Worth this weekend, along with Stephen Day and Jordy Searcy. Get tickets here

March 18, 10 p.m.| Billy Bob’s Texas, Fort Worth

Country music star Mark Chesnutt has 18 albums under his belt, making a big name for himself in the 1990s and early 2000s. He’s currently touring with his son, Casey, who is supporting his 2021 EP Down Mexico WayGet tickets here

Southside Spillover 2023

March 18-19| Tulips, Fort Worth

Indie rock artist Indigo DeSouza will headline the two-day Southside Spillover festival at Tulips, bringing her new album, All of This Will End, to Cowtown. This is the follow-up to her 2021 breakthrough album Any Shape You Take. Critics say the new album is warmer and “unmistakably audacious.” The lineup includes Luna Luna, Ron Gallo, Quarters of Change, Runnner, Cheekface, Snotty Nose Rez Kids, Boyo, Enumclaw, Andi, Arcy Drive, Nitefire, Knifeplay, Waveform*, Kevin Holliday, System Exclusive, EVNTYD, Pearl Earl, Cosmic Frownies, Dome Dwellers, and Flowerbed.  Get tickets here

Girls of DFW

March 19, 7 p.m.| Louie Louie’s Dueling Piano Bar

Girls of DFW is hosting its third concert series this weekend with a listening room environment. Expect acoustic song swaps between local singer-songwriters like Jenna Clark, Bayleigh Cheek, La Bell, and Sarah Johnson. Special guests will include Sarah Carrino, Honin, Billie Jo Joe, Gabby Minton, Simone Nicole, Penny & Dime, MIN, Jordan Monroe, and Lina Mapes. Shopping will also be available from Sarah Johnson Fine Art, Fort Worth muralist and artist Jana Renée, as well as Bolschitz Design Co’s jewelry, colorful art prints, apparel, and more.
