Dallas Mimosa Walk: Labor Day Weekend Edition
Everyone knows a cardinal rule of fashion is “no white after Labor Day.” So this Saturday’s Dallas Mimosa Walk is encouraging all its attendees to dress to the nines, and to dress in all white. (The most outrageously dressed will win a $250 grand prize.) During the 3.5-hour event, you can stop into nearly 20 different Deep Ellum shops and enjoy free mimosa samplings as you browse. CASH Bash
Fans of Johnny Cash can head to Grapevine for CASH Bash, a memorial tribute to Johnny Cash. Riverfront Jazz Festival
The fifth-annual Riverfront Jazz Festival is back this weekend to highlight some of the best jazz, blues, R&B, soul, pop, and neo-soul musicians from across the world. Presented by the Black Academy of Arts and Letters, the festival will feature 30-plus jazz artists, as well as young performers from area schools and music programs, across three stages. Sept. 2–4.
