Robert Earl Keen

August 25, 9 p.m. | Billy Bob’s, Fort Worth

Houston native Robert Earl Keen will hit Billy Bob’s on the last leg of his final tour—ever—tonight. No doubt he’ll be treating the audience to their favorites from his decades-long career that includes 20 full-length albums. It’s clear that The Road Goes On Forever singer-songwriter’s fans are taking every opportunity to catch him one last time—this final tour was listed as one of the most successful in the world last year by Pollstar. Get tickets.

Bob Schneider

August 26, 7 p.m. | The Kessler

Austin singer-songwriter Bob Schneider’s long career spans time as the frontman of The Ugly Americans and The Scabs. He’ll hit the Kessler Friday night to support his latest album, In a Roomful of Blood with a Sleeping Tiger. Schneider can be quiet and thoughtful one moment, and in the next unleash a song explicitly designed to get your booty moving, which is why he’s amassed a pile of local music awards and occasionally finds his songs on movie soundtracks. Purchase tickets.

Monuments

August 27, 8 p.m. | Trees

British progressive metal band Monuments will hit Trees Saturday night. This latest U.S. tour also marks the debut of new vocalist Andy Cizek, who also fronts the band Makari. Expect songs from the band’s latest album, In Stasis, but word has it Cizek has mastered the band’s older catalog, too, so rest assured that some of those will also make an appearance. Get tickets.

KCON 2022 US Tour

August 28, 6 p.m. | Texas Trust CU Theatre

K-pop fans can rejoice: the KCON 2022 tour brings Korean acts like StayC, Cravity, TO1, and Lightsum to Grand Prairie, but organizers say it’s also a celebration of Korean culture and all it has to offer. Purchase tickets.

The Kid Laroi

August 28, 8 p.m. | The Factory in Deep Ellum

Australian rapper The Kid Laroi might only be 18, but he’s already topping charts with hits like Stay, which saw an assist from Justin Bieber, and was nominated for a Grammy. His End of the World Tour started in his hometown, Sydney, and then proceeded to sell out most shows (although there are still some tickets available for his Dallas stop). Want to prep before the show? While the official The Kid Laroi meal at McDonald’s isn’t on the menu now (that we could find), you can replicate his order by getting a cheeseburger (no pickles, medium fries, six McNuggets, and a medium frozen Coke). Ah, to have an 18-year-old’s metabolism again. Purchase tickets.
