T-Pain

June 24, 8 p.m. | Texas Trust CU Theatre

Cue “Return of The Mack” because T-Pain is back in Dallas. Originally, the Grammy award winning artist was scheduled to perform at The Factory in Deep Ellum on May 18. In response to low ticket sales, T-Pain voiced his complaints on a viral TikTok. The video found a second life on Twitter, which resulted in an exchange with Mayor Eric Johnson about public safety in Deep Ellum. After the back and forth, T-Pain rescheduled his Dallas tour date to Grand Prairie for his North Texas fans. Buy tickets to see Teddy Pain in person.

Vibe House

June 24, 8 p.m. | Viva’s Lounge

Are y’all ready for new Zayland? Earlier this month, Spotify added “Case Closed,” the single for Zayland’s newest project, on the platform’s Fresh Friends Hip Hop playlist. Since then, the musician has been in rehearsal with fellow locals capshun, Graham Malice, Yellow Jones and more in preparation for Vibe House. The hyper-regional music showcase will have performances by Electric Tongues, Muriel, Honey Daii, Brijole. DJs Blaq Pages, Hubbledvision, and Saucy D will also perform. Purchase tickets.

Jacks Haupt & Mattie

June 24, 8:30 p.m. | The Wild Detectives

All Praise Jacks Haupt. The Latinx singer is the subject of Mija, a critically acclaimed documentary about the singer’s journey into stardom. Indie Wire describes the film as “a tribute to those children of immigrants, especially those in families divided across borders, pulling for their own aspirations while carrying on their backs their parents’ hopes for a life without fear, Mija beams with the knowledge that in its specificity it speaks to millions.” Haupt will share the stage with music and hair extraordinaire Mattie the night before the film shows as part of the Oak Cliff Film Festival on Sunday afternoon. Buy tickets.

Cuenta tu Historia

June 25, 11 a.m. | 410 S. Windomere Ave.

Arts Mission Oak Cliff teams up with artist Tina Medina and streetwear brand Malcriadas Collective to pay homage to their neighborhood. DJ Alaska and Soy Capaz will provide music for the community wide block party, where residents are encouraged to share their stories. These stories will be recorded to preserve the oral history of the neighborhood. The event is free to the public.

Down 4 Dallas

June 25, 12 p.m. | Hip Hop Family Art Center, 531 Pleasant Grove

Dust off the Adidas for a day of old school hip-hop fun. The city of Dallas and B-Boy Academy Hip-Hop host a family friendly event to honor hip-hop. Come prepared to compete in a series of hip-hop inspired contests like Fresh Dressed or to show your best poppin/funk style or krumping skills. The event is free to the public.

Triple D Experience

June 25, 7 p.m. | The Echo Lounge & Music Hall

Do you love Dallas hip-hop and in need of $1,000? Bobby Sessions is giving out one cash prize to a lucky individual at The DDD Experience. The free concert, headlined by Sessions, Coach Tev, Jason Lyric and Tray Haggerty, celebrates local hip-hop and the community that supports it. We wrote about it earlier in the month. According to Sessions, the Grammy winner will debut something “legendary” at the concert. Also, congrats are in order for P$O Kwama, who won an opening set for the concert. Get tickets.
