Symphony in the City

The Dallas Symphony Orchestra celebrates the nation’s armed forces with a concert of military classics. The program begins with a musical rendition of “The Star Spangled Banner,” and ends on “Stars and Stripes Forever March.” The concert is free to the public. Read more.

May 28, 3 – 9 p.m. | Klyde Warren Park

Get your picnic blanket for an afternoon of movies. This edition of Movies in the Park features Raya and the Last Dragon, Twilight, and La La Land. Showtimes.

Memorial Weekend Criteriums

May 29 – 30 | Fair Park

Bring your bicycle for a day of beginner and advanced racing around the Dos Equis Pavilion. The fairgrounds open at 4 p.m. for families to grab a bite to eat or catch a quick concert. The beginners’ race starts at 5 p.m., followed by the professional race at 9 p.m. RSVP.

May 29 | Legacy Hall

Shine your boots for a country celebration at the suburban food hall. The day begins with a Shania Twain tribute concert and proceeds into mechanical bull riding, brewery tours, and plates of smoked BBQ plates. Purchase tickets.
