Where to Celebrate Hanukkah in North Texas

Grand Menorah Lighting

Nov. 30, 5 p.m. | Downtown McKinney 

RSVP for Chabad of Allen and McKinney’s first public Menorah Lighting celebration. The family-friendly activity starts at 5 p.m. with glow in the dark necklaces and festive arts and crafts. The lighting begins at 5:30 p.m.

Chanukah at Klyde Warren Park

Through December 6, 5:30 p.m. each evening | Klyde Warren Park

Intown Chabad hosts its 2nd annual Menorah Lighting at Moody Plaza inside Klyde Warren Park. The evening includes live music, food, and the debut of a Menorah-Mural, a public art installation that features eight artists’ interpretations of eight branch candelabrum.

The Giving Menorah

Dec.1, 5:30 p.m. | Southlake Town Square

Register for Chabad of Southlake‘s charitable Menorah festival. Donations from attendees will go toward Jewish Family Services of Fort Worth and Tarrant County. Stay tuned for the night’s Gelt Drop, a celebratory activity where gold wrapped chocolate coins are dropped from one of the city’s firetrucks.

JCC Dallas Hanukkah

Dec. 5, 4:30 p.m. – 6 p.m. | Aaron Family Jewish Community Center 

Celebrate nearing the end of Hanukkah with Aaron Family JCC. The night’s programming includes story time for children and young adults to learn about the Jewish holiday, a create-your-own menorah activity, and a Dreidel competition.

Community Chanukah Celebration

Dec, 5, 4 p.m. | Frisco City Hall

Chabad of Frisco honors local healthcare providers at its 8th Annual Community Chanukah Celebration. The celebration features performances from The Kosher Klezmer Band, train rides and bounce houses for children, and Chanukah donuts and hot latkes to enjoy throughout the evening.

Chanukah Memorial Lighting

Through Dec. 6 | Galleria Dallas 

Each night, at 5 p.m., Galleria Dallas lights its menorah display to commemorate the holiday. The display is located on level one between Burberry and Louis Vuitton.
