On October 28, Michael B. Jordan released “Blue the Great: the Art of Collaboration,” his second capsule collection with Coach. Jordan collaborated with his friend Blue, one of Dallas’ best ambassadors in the fields of visual arts and streetwear, to produce a gender-inclusive capsule inspired by Jordan’s style and Blue’s artwork.

The collaborative partnership between the two friends was years in the making. In a promotional interview for the collection, Jordan recalled meeting Blue, The Great through “mutual friends in Los Angeles, where the duo connected and supported each other.”  Friendship is a core tenet to the pair’s collaborative partnership, which features Blue’s mummy symbol on Rexy, the fashion house’s dinosaur mascot, and the fashion house’s signature “C” logo. Jordan described it as “the perfect example of building with your friends and turning that personal relationship into business in a successful way” to WWD.

The collection marks the second collaboration for both Jordan and Blue with the American fashion house. In 2019, the actor released a Naruto-inspired collection under the Coach brand. In spring 2021, Blue worked on the house’s spring campaign. The capsule is available for purchase on Coach’s website, prices range between $55 and $995.
