The Houston Hottie is coming to Dallas! Thank you, Post Malone!
This morning, the North Texas native announced a lineup crowded with superstars for this year’s Posty Fest, which will take over a parking lot outside of AT&T Stadium on Halloween weekend.
The impressive lineup includes hometown favorite Kaash Paige, XXL Freshman Flo Milli, and the hot girl herself, Megan Thee Stallion. Jack Harlow, Polo G, Roddy Rich, Lil Uzi Vert, and Rod Wave round out the October festival.
This year’s iteration brings a little bit of what we missed when JMBLYA, the Austin-based hip-hop festival, canceled its Dallas stop over Labor Day weekend. The top of the lineup are headlining acts from national festivals like Rolling Loud, Made In America, and Life Is Beautiful Vegas. And fresh off a Rolling Stone profile, Kaash Paige returns home after a highly successful year.
In that time, the Dallas native has been named the face of Guess, modeled in Beyonce’s Ivy Park campaign, and attended Jay Z’s 18th anniversary of the legendary 40/40 club. Let’s not forget her features on the latest albums for Alicia Keys, Moneybagg Yo, and Don Toliver. There were also candids with Drake, PartyNextDoor, and Ty Dolla Sign.
Keep in mind, Paige is only 20 years old. She represents a new, progressive era in Dallas music. It’s a smart and timely booking.
Meanwhile, Megan Thee Stallion.
That’s the paragraph. What more can be said about the chart-topping, record-breaking, Grammy award-winning, Met Gala-attending rapper? There are no words to describe why you should attend Megan’s performance, only that: “I know you attempted to do the Savage during the first phase of lockdown, so bring your ass outside.”
Alabama’s Flo Milli, meanwhile, would have been at JMBLYA over Labor Day. Her debut mixtape Ho, Why Is You Here? received critical acclaim from folks like Jon Caramanica, music critic at the New York Times, who characterized the 20-year-old rapper as a “clever, cheerful lyricist.” Similar to Paige, Milli is another young Black woman rapper from the South known for a unique, pioneering sound.
