The Singles’ Guide to Valentine’s Day in Dallas

Because February 14 can be many things–Galentine's, Singles' Awareness Day–but it doesn't need to be boring.

It’s T-minus ten days until Valentine’s Day and you’re as single as ever. It’s (probably) too late to kindle a new flame before February 14, but there’s still plenty of time to make fun plans for the holiday. Want to celebrate with the gals? You’ve got options. Trying to put yourself in Cupid’s line of fire? There are some good singles events to mix and mingle at. Maybe you just want to get tipsy and eat snacks on a vintage trolley car, and that’s totally doable. Here are a few ways to celebrate your singlehood this Valentine’s Day.

Shred Your Ex 

What: Are you still feeling salty about your last break up? Bowl & Barrel is honoring Singles Awareness Day with its annual “Shred Your Ex” party, where attendees are invited to bring a picture of their ex to shred in exchange for free snacks. Let go of those feelings, grab some hors d’oeuvres, and revel in your newfound independence.

Galentine’s Drag Show

What: The Golden Gays NYC are making their Texas debut at the new Virgin Hotels Dallas. Bring your gals to enjoy a hilarious, interactive musical inspired by the legendary series Golden Girls. There’s no better way to say “Thank you for being a friend.”

Galentine’s Bingo

What: Bring together your girlfriends and try to get lucky at Reunion Tower’s Galentine’s Bingo night. The games begin at 6:30 p.m. 

Where: Reunion Tower’s GeO-Deck 

When: February 6, 6:30 p.m. 

Tickets: Included with general admission to GeO-Deck.

Singles Awareness Day with Match

What: Match is making V-Day a little sweeter for single folks by giving out free cupcakes from Sprinkles, dating tips, and complimentary subscription sign-ups. The pop-up will be located between Fabletics and Neighborhood Goods. 

Where: Valentine’s Day Flower Wall Pop-Up at Legacy West

When: February 15, 12-6 p.m. 

Tickets: No cover.  

Anti-Valentine’s Trolley Party

What: A private party on the on the McKinney Avenue Trolley that’s all-you-can-drink? Don’t need to ask us twice. For the second year, singles will gather on the vintage trolley to eat, drink, and mingle during a three-hour ride (there will be bathroom breaks). 

Where: Post Worthington off McKinney Ave.

When: February 15, 7:30-11 p.m.

Galentine’s Day Bash

What: Cocktail connoisseur SusieDrinks is hosting a Galentine’s Day party at Dallas Proper with a three-course light bite menu, Veuve Clicquot pairings, and two signature cocktails.

When: February 13, 6-9 p.m.

Tickets: $20.20 

Cupids Collide

What: Toller is hosting a Singles’ Valentine’s Day Bash with a DJ, $5 cocktails for ladies, $30 cocktail pitchers for gentlemen, and $1 Jello shoes for everyone. Go dance, flirt, and enjoy your freedom.

When: February 14, 7-11:30 p.m.
