Welcome to a brand new weekend. There are some exciting things in our neck of the woods. Khalid, the R&B-meets-pop singer, is coming to town on Sunday with lo-fi singer Clairo. Tickets start at $50. If you want to go the local music route, check out Brandon Bamburg at Mama Tried Deep Ellum tonight at 7 p.m., or Cure for Paranoia and Children of Indigo at Don’t Tell Supper Club on Friday at 10 p.m. Both of those shows are free.
In other arts and entertainment happenings, you only have a few days left to see local play Penny Candy, the DMA’s Jonas Wood exhibition, and the Dallas Medianale at The MAC. The Dallas Medianale, a video-based art installation, has its closing reception on Saturday at 6 p.m. It’s free to attend and refreshments will be provided.
Finally, Sunday brings another joyous Bastille Day to Dallas. Party like the French in the Bishop Arts District, or one of the other celebrations around town. We have a Bastille Day round-up coming at you tomorrow morning, so keep an eye out.
The info for Bastille Day, local concerts, art exhibits, and general shindigs can be found on our Things To Do page.
