Welcome to the last weekend of July! It’s time to get serious about summering if you haven’t already. Go drink a piña colada by a pool (The Adolphus has a good one that’s not too sweet, and its pool is open to the public on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.). Find a hammock and sway in the warm breeze of a July evening (the pool at The Belmont has a few). Find your summer fling (you can even make a game of it at Wheelhouse). Live a little!

Speaking of living, D Magazine hosts its epic annual Best of Big D party tonight at The Bomb Factory. You should totally come. There’s food from the city’s best restaurants, cocktails from the city’s best bars, and live entertainment. Tickets are $65 and it starts at 7 p.m.

If you wanna do something for free tonight, there’s Harry Potter trivia at Celestial Beerworks, and a free concert at Vitruvian Park in Addison.

You can catch more live music this weekend on Friday, when local artist Justin Tipton celebrates the release of a new single at Double Wide. Third Eye Blind, Jimmy Eat World, and Ra Ra Riot will also perform on Friday at Toyota Music Factory. Beck and Cage the Elephant are in town on Saturday, performing at Dos Equis Pavilion with Wild Belle and Spoon.

On Sunday, you can continue to summer like a pro on a Sunday Funday Boat Party with Dallas Social Club. The boat will cruise from 1-5 p.m. and admission to the party includes food and drinks.

Get the details for all these events and more on our Things To Do page.
