The Dallas Theater Center is bringing home a Tony. At Sunday’s awards ceremony in New York, the company officially accepted the Regional Theatre Tony Award, a prestigious nod delivered on Broadway’s biggest night.

Artistic director Kevin Moriarty gave the speech. The whole thing is worth watching, but this is the quote that leaps off the screen: “Dallas knows that a great city needs a great theater to shine a light on who we are and light a beacon guiding the way to who we can become.”
