Jaffe Season Approaching

Sarah Jaffe's back with a new song, and a new album out this summer.

The great Sarah Jaffe has returned with “Bad Baby,” a new song off her forthcoming album of the same name, out July 7 on Dallas’ Kirtland Records.

As NPR notes, it continues the songwriter’s turn away from the kind of acoustic coffee shop music Jaffe cut her teeth on in Denton years ago, a progression that, it should be said, has been happening for a long time now. (Probably even before 2014’s excellent Don’t Disconnect and her collaboration with hip-hop producer S1, The Dividends.) Artists evolve, and “Bad Baby” has her in fine form as a wistful electro pop star.
