The new Fortress Festival ensured it will debut with a bang after announcing today an impressive lineup that includes hip-hop rabble-rousers Run The Jewels and the ethereal electro pop duo Purity Ring.

The two-day music festival, set for April 29 and 30 in Fort Worth, had already guaranteed a beautiful setting in the city’s Modern Art Museum and the rest of its Cultural District. One stage will be positioned at the museum’s reflecting pond, the other at the Will Rogers Memorial Center. Festival guests will be able to visit the museum itself, which will have by then opened what should be a really compelling Katherine Bernhardt show.

We wrote in October that the names behind the festival—the local folks responsible for the Lone Star Film Festival and Margin Walker Presents, the outfit that produced Austin’s Sound on Sound Festival—boded well, and the festival’s inaugural lineup delivers. We can look forward to performances from far-out electronic maestro Flying Lotus, New Order alumnus Peter Hook, and the rough-and-tumble indie rock act Wolf Parade, as well as sets from homegrown greats including Sudie, Cure For Paranoia, and Bobby Sessions.

Here’s the full lineup:

Run the Jewels
Purity Ring
Flying Lotus
Slowdive
Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats
Peter Hook & The Light

This has every sign of being a blast. Two-day general admission passes are on sale now for about $105. A VIP pass will run for about $275.
