Dallas native Annie Clark, better known as Grammy-winning musician St. Vincent, will direct a segment in the upcoming horror anthology movie XX, which is described as “four deadly tales by four killer women.”

Clark’s co-writing her short with Roxanne Benjamin, whose horror movie resume includes work on V/H/S and Southbound. This is Clark’s first professional genre directorial gig, although St. Vincent’s music videos have always been memorable. The musician’s branched out in the last year or so, busing tables at a Dallas taco joint and designing a signature guitar. Directing a horror movie feels like a natural progression. Clark’s short is set to begin filming this spring.
