Some good news, and some bad news.

Luke Bryan, popular singer and noted fan of the “classy” work we do on this website, will return this October to AT&T Stadium. The Death Star in Arlington is the site of two all-too-recent tragedies involving Bryan: In April, he was named “entertainer of the year” at the Academy of Country Music Awards. Then in November, this happened:

There is some good news. Unlike Bryan’s Thanksgiving Day performance during halftime of the Cowboys game at Jerry World, this Oct. 22 show will not be inflicted on a national audience. It also looks unlikely that Bryan will play this year’s halftime show — perhaps one of my 171 better ideas will be given some consideration.

The bad news is that Luke Bryan is coming back to North Texas, and he is playing music. What terrible things have we done to deserve this much Luke Bryan in the space of two years?
