Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will return to Dallas this April, almost two years after a triumphant performance that closed out the NCAA March Madness Music Festival.

The April 5 show at the American Airlines Center, announced this morning, will come at the tail end of The River Tour, named for a box set re-release of Springsteen’s classic 1980 album The River. This tour, which kicked off a couple weeks ago in Pittsburgh, will draw pretty heavily from that record.

As is Springsteen’s custom, each concert should be a casually incredible marathon featuring one of rock music’s greatest songwriters and performers. (The setlist for that Pittsburgh show is stacked, and includes a cover of Bowie’s “Rebel Rebel.”) Springsteen seems to get better with age, and we’re looking forward to April 5.

If you can’t make the show at the American Airlines Center –Springsteen’s only Texas stop this year — don’t sweat it too much. Each performance of the tour will be professionally recorded, mixed, and released on The Boss’ website. Tickets go on sale Saturday at 10 am.

In the meantime, you can watch all three hours of that 2014 concert below.

On a barely related note, you should also listen to this cover of “Dancing in the Dark” by Downtown Boys, a phenomenal punk act out of Rhode Island. Downtown Boys have a saxophone, a bilingual singer, and plenty of spark to spare. They are amazing, and will make your day immeasurably better. Downtown Boys perform at Crown and Harp on March 11.
