The 15 Most Popular FrontRow Posts of 2015

Which story attracted the most eyeballs this year?

Blogging is not a popularity contest, and a post should not be judged solely by its number of page views. Having said that, some articles get more clicks than others.

These are not necessarily FrontRow’s greatest hits. If you’re looking for the most compelling articles we shared this year, you should start with any of Peter’s columns from the magazine (his piece on Gorilla vs. Bear and a meditation on the selfie-fueled teen fame phenomenon of DigiTour are my favorites) and go from there. I’d also point you toward any of James Coreas’ photography (his galleries from 35 Denton and Untapped Fest are gorgeous) if you like looking at pretty pictures of music being played and good times being had. We also ran a lot of other fascinating features, hot sports opinions, theater reviews, movie reviews, classical music coverage, bad jokes, and concert musings that are worth reading if you’re already here and in the mood for some reflecting on the past year.

But for a variety of reasons — many of them involving the algorithmic whims of Google and/or Facebook — the following 15 posts drew the most eyeballs to D Magazine’s arts and entertainment blog in 2015.
