If you’ve yet to visit Denton’s Rubber Gloves Rehearsal Studios,  you really should make an effort. The former cement factory regularly features interesting acts, low covers, and cheap drinks. Friday night, Boris, the dynamic, experimental Japanese band often associated with sludge rock, is back on the RGRS stage, supported by Thrones, Pinkish Black, and Bludded Head. There’s a great story about Rubber Gloves owner Josh Baish and the time he saw Boris, which happens to be his favorite band, in Marfa. He lost an ear. The band worked it into a song.

Anyway, we hope something less bloody but just as interesting happens during this show, since we’re giving away a pair of tickets. Doors are at 8 p.m.; no, we won’t give you a ride. Seeing Boris for free is worth your trip. Just enter the Wufoo form below to win, and we’ll random draw a winner by tomorrow at 4 p.m.
