Guitar Giveaway: We’re Giving Away a Silvertone Guitar Signed by Bob Schneider

You heard us right. The kind folks at Jim Beam have given us an actual guitar that we will give away to one very lucky reader tomorrow afternoon after 3 p.m. You have until then to enter the contest, which you can do, per usual, in the form below.

Now why are you giving away a guitar, you ask? Well, it is simple, really. Back in June, Austin-based singer-songwriter Bob Schneider rode through town as part of the Jim Beam Live Music Series. Schneider will be coming back to Dallas on August 26 to play at the Kessler Theater (why that’s the night after we’ll be at the Kessler watching Paris, Texas, listening to Barry Kooda, and chatting with Hunter Carson). If you want to whet your appetite for Scheider’s return, head on over to Jim Beam’s website for some exclusive Bob Schneider content from the music series. Also, as if you needed a reason to buy more bourbon, for you 21 and overs, special boxes of Jim Beam and Red Stag are offering  music download deals. So booze and free music — that’s pretty much as much of a win-win as it gets.

Well, almost. One of you will enjoy a win-win-win, because we still have that guitar to give you. Here are the details on it:

Jim Beam Silvertone Electric Guitar – Signed by Bob Schneider

  • Single Cutaway Sculpted Body
  • Sculpted Bolt-On Neck (Maple)
  • Rosewood Fingerboard
  • 22 Fret 24 3/4″ Scale
  • Chrome Precision Die-Cast Tuning Machines
  • Dual Humbucking Pickups
  • Full Color Graphics on Guitar Top

Sounds like a serious ax. So how do you win? Easy. Enter your info in the form below and tell me in the field for answering questions which musician’s primary guitar is a Danelectro Silvertone 1448. Here’s a few hints: his name is synonymous with L.A. (at least for me), and he is probably one of the top two or three most important rock artists of the past 20 years (at least in my opinion).

And so, shredders, go!
