Fun Fun Fun Fest Nautically Announces New Round Of Acts

Austin’s Fun Fun Fun Fest takes place at Auditorium Shores this November 4th-6th, however the anticipation leading up to the event starts much earlier.

They already announced the first round of bands by ingeniously using nautical flags via YouTube, which was aggravating to some but charming to others (pretty much everything you could want out of a perfectly attention-grabbing PR campaign). Those acts included Odd Future, Brian Posehn, X (Los Angeles not Australia), M83, and Okkervil River.

Today they are releasing the newest announced names in the same manner, and I spent all morning expertly using my extensive knowledge of nautical code to figure this out for you all:

Reggie Watts (who turned in a celebrated performance at a North Texas Festival earlier this year).

Flying Lotus

Kid Dynamite

Tune Yards

Ra Ra Riot (I have to say, the only confusing act to decipher was Ra Ra Riot, since “Ra Ra” was coded as one word).

Along with this announcement, the festival will also be releasing their second batch of discounted tickets which you can purchase here. If you have any inclination to attend, I would highly recommend snatching up those discounted tickets while you can. The first batch was “gone in 45 minutes,” according to representatives from he festival. You do have one more shot at attending paying less than full price: FrontRow will have a giveaway very soon.
