This Monday we’ll continue our film series featuring the melodramas of Douglas Sirk and Rainer Werner Fassbinder by showing Fassbinder’s love song to Sirk, Ali: Fear Eats the Soul. Focusing on a relationship between an Arab immigrant and an elderly German widow, Fassbinder wraps a compelling study of social values in a remarkable and moving love story. Never have you been so convinced in the love of two disparate people.

The film starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Texas Theater and admission is completely FREE! All you need to do to get your free ticket is to go to our Eventbrite invitation here.

Join us to see these films as they were meant to be seen – on the big screen – and stick around for some post-screening conversation in the Texas Theatre’s bar. And don’t forget to share the invite with your friends.

See you there.
