Pay increases for hospital and health systems executives and managers were slightly lower in 2012, a compensation study finds. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid has notified providers that claims for services performed by Dec. 31 won't be affected by the 26 percent Medicare sustainable growth rate cut. New data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention show a drop in the number of low-income preschoolers who qualify as "obese" or "extremely obese."
