This is where you should go for a shampoo and style.

By now you’ve probably tried your fair share of no-cut-or-color blowouts around town. You’ve also probably realized that not all blowouts are created equal. (For somebody who has stubborn and dyed hair like me, this is especially true.) Fret not—after trying countless of blowouts, we’ve rounded up our favorites according to location. Here are the places you should be booking appointments at for your New Year’s Eve, birthday, holiday, or everyday celebration.

Uptown/Downtown:

Dear Clark Hair Studio. Our 2014 Best of Big D winner has both a blowout and braid bar. While you’re there, check out their in-house product line, which is all natural. If you’re looking for an updo or braid ask for our girl Maria, who has beautified us many times over.

The Park Cities:

Pouf. Located in Mockingbird Station, this salon is a good location for SMU students and Park Cities ladies alike. Pouf also offers makeup sessions (from touch-up to full face), making this a one-stop-shop for getting ready for any party.

North Dallas:

The Hair Bar. This one’s for all of you North Dallas ladies. This salon makes things super easy with an option of scheduling your appointment for a blowout, hair extensions, or makeup application online.

Oak Cliff:

Sweet 200. This Bishop Arts District salon has a whole lot of artsy attitude. While you wait for your blowout you can practice your billiard skills or catch up on some artsy magazines.

Far North Dallas:

Salon D. For more than 20 years this salon has been smoothing the strands of Dallas women. They also offer manicures/pedicures, facial treatments, waxing, and eyelash extensions.

At Home:

Don’t want to leave the house? (We don’t blame you.) Earlier this year we reviewed the beGlammed iPhone app, which left us feeling like a Kardashian. They’ll come to you and get you photo-ready (both hair and makeup!) while you start the bubbly early.
