Riccardo Tisci has plucked Dallas gem Erykah Badu for the face for Givenchy. The uber cool musician, who Tisci calls “an icon,” will be modeling his spring 2014 collection, which Style.com describes as a “mash-up of African and Japanese influences.” After the recently rekindled conversation about the lack of diversity on runways, this is a refreshing bit of news, although I was equally thrilled to have to opportunity to see her at the Texas State Veggie Fair in October.
