1. D: The Cookbook. The recipes are a collection from some of Dallas’ best chefs (John Tesar, Lisa Garza, Dean Fearing, etc.) and the proceeds benefit Cafe Momentum. I could stop there. But I’ll say one more thing: the famous mushroom soup from The Grape. Yep. Recipe’s there.

2. This Tonya Hawkes “Black Glass” clutch at Five & Ten. It’s like a sexy, oversized lego that holds your lipstick.

3. I was invited in to try Renée Rouleau’s new Bio Brasion treatment (coming soon at the beginning of next year–stay tuned) and walked away with her Phytolipid Comfort Cream. Between Renée’s magic hands and the maintenance with her product line, my skin finally has its glow back. This moisturizer is a serious shot of hydration for sensitive skin.

4. Koh Gen Do’s concealer palette. The heartbreak over the loss of Barneys just won’t heal. It was the only store in town to carry this Japanese hi-def makeup line.

5. The Good Home’s custom laundry detergent. I know, I know. I have a thing for laundry detergent. I think it’s an exceptional little luxury. Move over, Tide. Stash a bottle of this by the washer instead. Founded by Christine Dimmick, a Parsons grad, Good Home is an eco-conscious home cleaning products line. The personalized laundry detergent lets you choose from more than 30 fragrances like fig and English rose. Concoctions are then mixed and labeled by hand.
