Want It vs. Flaunt It: Gun Jewelry

|

It’s hot to be dress like a badass right now. Notice all the black leather, pyramid-studded ensembles, the spike-adorned heels, and the weapon-celebrating jewelry. I love it. Katherine Heigel wears a Sydney Evan pistol necklace. Miley models a bullet. Rhianna, not only tattooed in guns, dons an AK 47 charm on a chain. And Angelina, unsurprisingly, wears a machine gun necklace. Then there are trendy gun reclamation jewelry projects. As you can imagine, it’s all expensive. A trip to Lula B’s last week, however, reminded me that you don’t have to spend thousands of dollars to sport violent trinkets. The earrings, left, made by Beth’s Addiction, are $22, top, and $28, bottom (with the vintage Czech cameos). Look for more funky jewelry—more badass-iness available, like Día de los Muertos charm bracelets and dog togs showcasing curse words—right in the front of Lula B’s in glass cases.
