J’s Breakfast and Burgers

For more than three decades, this 24-hour greasy spoon has been serving up burgers. Options include the bacon cheeseburger, jalapeño burger, and mushroom and Swiss burger, but we recommend sticking with the Old Fashion, a 6-ounce patty topped with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onions.

Beef House

This no-frills burger joint serves burgers around the clock. They’ve been plating 6-ounce ground beef patties for nearly 70 years. If you’re in the mood for something substantial, order the J’s Giant, a three-quarter-pound double-meat colossus with cheese and a side of fries.

Metro Diner

Its slogan is “24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We are always cookin’, ” so whenever you’re craving a burger on a checkerboard plate, they’ve got you covered. This fantastic diner has been cracking eggs and flipping patties for more than 50 years.

Burguesa Burger

Downtown workers who have pulled an all-nighter can order a burger as early as 6 am. We recommend the La Monumental, a double-meat burger loaded with cheese, lettuce, tomato slices, avocado, and onions.

Bottlecap Alley Icehouse Grill

Sink your teeth into an Angus beef patty starting at 7 am at the Southlake location of Bottlecap Alley. Diners build their ideal burger from a choice of meats, free toppings such as sweet relish, sauerkraut, and tomatoes, and “premium” toppings (80 cents each) that include a selection of cheeses, grilled vegetables, and, of course, a fried egg.
