Jane and Judy Aldridge

Designers and bloggers, Sea of Shoes and Atlantis Home

They are the most famous fashion duo in Trophy Club: Jane Aldridge and her mother Judy. The two have been the hot topic of numerous articles and fashion blogs this past year, touting their outstanding sense of style and personal blogs, Sea of Shoes and Atlantis Home. Jane has been in the spotlight since launching her blog in 2007 (when she was just 15). She has designed a line of shoes for Urban Outfitters, attended Paris’ Crillon Ball, and appeared in Teen Vogue (March 2008 and January 2010), Vanity Fair (February 2010), and on an episode of The City. Together, the mother and daughter recently collaborated with designer Aimee Cho of Gryphon to create a one-off trench that debuts this spring. A fan of their blogs, Cho developed a friendship with them through e-mail and asked them to design a coat for her line. The Aldridge trench, which had people adding their names to wait lists before it arrived in stores, was inspired by a trip to Tokyo and features rain-resistant cotton metal, bell sleeves, mandarin collar, and a grommet belt with a leather pouch on it.

This won’t be the last you’ll see of them. The two are already working on another design for Gryphon’s holiday collection, and Judy is working on a jewelry line with her sister Karen Babcock.
