Review: Thai2Go

Thai2go earns points for the catchy name alone, but this small Thai spot scores even bigger for settling in the Medical District, a neighborhood underserved in terms of restaurants. The small space has a bright minimalism that says “wow” when you walk in, with floor-to-ceiling windows, black modular furniture, and lime green walls. Though off the beaten path, it’s worth seeking out for a cozy lunch or supper, if only for the fried rice with crab, niftily capped with an over-easy egg. Other specialties include house-made Thai beef jerky, curried softshell crab, and samosa-like curry puffs filled with curried potatoes and minced chicken, served with a refreshing cucumber salsa. Cantaloupe pearl pudding—a novelty with tapioca pearls and cantaloupe in coconut milk—should convince you to make room for dessert.
