Fall brings many trends, but one of the most eye-catching is the use of fabric to create prolific pleats and folds. Many designers accented dresses, skirts, and tops with origami-like details. Marni adorned organza, Y & Kei puckered silk, and Givenchy creased cotton while Robert Rodriguez gathered jersey. Subdued colors such as gray and black ruled the runway, but rich jewel tones such as burgundy and magenta were also staples. Pair the shades and textures together, as we’ve done on these pages, to create the perfect palette for this season.
