THE REAL DEAL Maybe you have a pal who’s been to Italy and is still raving about how different, how superior, the pizza was. Find out yourself without having to book a flight. Campania Pizza, a tiny storefront across from West Village, has young chefs from Napoli making the real deal: thin but fragrant crust, topped with San Daniele prosciutto, buffalo mozzarella, and arugula, hold the sauce. Just about everything in the shop comes straight from Italy, including a wall of dry goods such as Bonta di Altamura pasta and organic olive oil made in Sardinia and stamped with the date. Stunning mosaic tiles cover the tabletops as well as a hand-laid map of Napoli on the wall. Something to tell your pal about. 3000 Blackburn St., Ste. 150. 214-780-0605. $$. BYOB —T.G.
