How We Did It

We’ve heard your complaints (we’ve even uttered them
ourselves): there are no decent men to date in Dallas. May we be the
first to admit we’re wrong—this town is flooded with smart, sexy men
for the taking.

In addition to considering the unattached fellows we already knew we loved, we posted a ballot on our web site (www.dmagazine.com)
so you, our readers, could tell us about your friends, neighbors, sons,
brothers, bosses, and ex-boyfriends. We inquired about trite things,
like the types of cars they drive (this is Dallas, after all), as well
as more serious matters, like their most charitable contributions. We
also accepted recommendations from friends, colleagues, and other
trusted souls (read: moms) to come up with this list of fine,
upstanding gentlemen. For the record, this was not a popularity
contest. Multiple nominations did not guarantee that any gent made the
cut.

They are intellectuals, artists, athletes, and CEOs. They
range in age from 21 to 53. Some have kids, and some are still growing
up. But they are all hot catches. Ladies, on your marks, get set,
pursue. —J.C.
