Despite numerous discrepancies and mysteries surrounding the affair-for instance, the “hate letters” supposedly sent to Railey were typed on a church typewriter-neither Railey nor Mulder will speak with officers looking into the attack. The matter became even more unsavory in mid-June, when Railey began granting self-serving interviews to the press. If Railey is innocent, as he claims, he owes the police his full cooperation.his full cooperation.
