After more than two decades of designing, renovating, and decorating storybook-worthy Parisian apartments, New York natives Michèle Joly and Jarrett Vogel are bringing a little French chic to Dallas with Artifkt. An interior designer and contractor respectively, the mother-and-son duo have filled their new Henderson Avenue shop with pedigreed French antiques (including a chandelier that once hung in the Chanel atelier), one-of-a-kind pillows, clean-lined furniture, books, accessories, and art. But the heart of the space is the Farrow & Ball shop-within-a-shop. Until now, Dallas design insiders wanting to get their hands on the beloved British paint line had to order directly from the company. Noting a hole in the market and wanting  to provide easy access to the line’s coveted hues, Joly and Jarrett created Dallas’ first Farrow & Ball retail space inside their shop. Clients can purchase test pots in every shade of the line and walk out with gallons of the most popular colors like Hague Blue, Railings, and Joly’s personal favorite, Tallow. “It’s the perfect color,” she says, “It just makes you feel good.”
