Dallas designers reached out to the flagship store in Miami, and products were pulled for the interiors at the W Dallas Victory Residences and the Hotel Palomar. So a move to Dallas was a natural step. “It’s one of those cities that will blend perfectly with us,” Hoyos says. The 3,500-squarefoot showroom includes architectural tables, beds, sofas, chairs, and accessories. “I put a lot of attention in the proportion. I like my pieces to look like sculptures,” Hoyos says. She uses materials such as cocoa, vegetable ivory, and coconut, and the wood is from trees in sustainable forests in South America.
The showroom offers a Design Your Own program for trade clients and walk-in customers. Every item in the showroom can be customized with a choice of 11 finishes, five tops, and up to 40 fabric options. Hoyos’ team controls every aspect of production, from the creative process to the manufacturing and shipping, allowing for a midlevel price point, faster shipping times, and an emphasis on quality. “Our roots are in production,” Hoyos says. “We have that handmade touch.”
