It’s always good to be near the ones you love. So when Danish furniture company BoConcept determined that 70 percent of its Dallas clientele lived in areas surrounding Lower Oak Lawn, it just made good sense to leave North Dallas behind.
BoConcept believes in giving the people what they want. Most items on the sales floor can be customized in one way or another, whether it’s making a wall cabinet to fit your specs or ordering a sofa in the color of your choice. And because the company is the manufacturer as well as the retailer, it’s able to keep costs as low as possible by cutting out the middleman. There are no customization fees and no fees to ship items from overseas.
You might want to take advantage of these deals come September, when BoConcept launches its new line. Christensen, who just returned from a two-week buying trip in Denmark, says he can’t release too many details about the new designs, but he did say that many of the pieces are “a throwback to the early days of BoConcept.” Intrigued? We are, too.
