Treasure hunters, rejoice. Lula B’s has brought a host of midcentury finds to its Deep Ellum location, and they’re just waiting to be discovered. The nostalgic playground is divided into sections by buyer (there are nearly 50), and it leaves no shopper out of the mix.  Look for ’50s and ’60s barware, eclectic vases in every color and shape imaginable, ’70s furniture, and lots of lighting. Moroccan lanterns, mod chandeliers, a floor-length Capiz shell hanging lamp, and lava lamps dominate the second floor. Bonus: for vintage clothing and all the cowboy boots you can handle, head upstairs.

Digger’s Paradise

Snag one-of-a-kind items at Mary’s Finds.

“No matter your budget, great design is everywhere,” Mary Padian says. “You just have to dig.” Luckily, the former Architectural Digest bargain hunter doesn’t  mind doing the digging. She’s scoured flea markets and estate sales in search of items with which to stock her bright and cheerful shop, Mary’s Finds. Located in the Design District, Mary’s Finds features an eclectic mix of refurbished and untouched home furnishings. Here you’ll find everything from rustic tables and chairs to gifts by Cody Foster & Co. and unique home accessories. Padian has an eye for the stylish and unusual. On our visit, we espied architectural prints signed by Frederick Lear and a Louis Vuitton bicycle.
