REALTOR  NEWS
Quick: Who is the most coveted luxury real estate consumer? Answer: The top 5 percent of the wealthiest in America who control $32 trillion in privately held assets. They buy first, second, and third homes like we buy handbags. Dave Perry-Miller learned this when he visited the Windy City in August to appear on a panel of mega-producing national agents, at the inaugural Luxury Portfolio Summit. The topic: “Embracing Today’s Luxury Real Estate Consumer.” Perry-Miller’s first 90 days at Ebby Halliday gave him plenty of material for his speech. Since partnering with Ebby, Perry-Miller and his team have closed $1 million per day in sales.

Ebby Halliday herself is busy giving away a vintage hat. One of her most cherished will be sitting on a table at the Women’s Council of Realtors Dallas Chapter’s High Tea and Fashion Show at the new Ritz-Carlton on Oct. 11. Co-chairs Ronda Husselman and Brian Mitchell have planned a true English, three-course tea that will include a silent auction and real estate agents modeling fashions from Dillard’s NorthPark location. Look for Mary Frances Burleson, Virginia Cook, and others strutting around the lunch tables in casual, business, and black tie. All tables will be adorned with a mannequin’s head donning a vintage hat, and one lucky bidder will walk away with the one from Ebby’s personal collection. WCR supports and mentors female real estate agents as well as local charities, including The Wilkinson Center and Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.
